PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT / ENGINEERING CO-OP

The Product Development co-op will assist in the product development process and lean product development.  

He/she will be responsible for statistical analysis, draper belt design and analysis, and machine design and problem solving­ both individually and in development teams. This will include frequent and ongoing consultation with the Plant Engineer, the safety Manager, numerous project engineers and managers/specialists when decisions are to be made. 

This role will have opportunities to interact with all levels of employees in the manufacturing facility; ranging from the Plant Manager to Machine Operators in order to assist in product development, with a particular focus on “lean”. The successful applicant will gain diverse experience in the functions and needs of a rubber products development group.


INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING (IE) INTERN

Division: Tire

The main goals of the Industrial Engineering internship are: 
- to provide practical, real life experience to Engineering students who are interested in working in an automotive production facility
- to have Engineering students supporting the Industrial Engineering department in various tasks and projects

Every Industrial Engineering intern receives between one and three individual projects in the field of Industrial Engineering and one group project on which they are evaluated on. 

In addition to that, Industrial Engineering interns support experienced engineers in their daily tasks and projects like time studies, process improvements, machine improvement projects etc. 


VALIDATION TEST ENGINEER

Division: Automotive

CLOSED.

This job requires working with test equipment during product development and writing software routines in Matlab and/or Excel to process and analyze data from equipment used during the validation test program. Additionally, developing requirements for product validation testing will be required.


PLANT SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Division: Tire

CLOSED.

The Summer Internship Program offers a 12 week hands-on internship for students that are interesting in working in a manufacturing environment. The Summer Internship Program targets students enrolled in programs in the field of Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Quality and HR. 

Every intern receives individual projects in the department that they are hired for and one group project on which they are evaluated on. In addition, they support in other daily tasks and projects.
